Local People First, SAMRA, Solihull and Meriden Residents Association

The Solihull and Meriden Residents' Association (SAMRA) is a movement of Solihull residents from all walks of life, drawn from all party political allegiances, who are alarmed by the direction of some of the Council's policies and its failure to listen to local people. Our candidates in the local elections have a record of voluntary work within their Solihull & Ward communities. Candidates subscribe to a general set of principles, but are independent of conventional party control which gives them the freedom to speak up on behalf of their communities.

We are committed to more meaningful democracy, where the views and interests of each local community are represented and reflected without discrimination, prejudice or favour.
